The beehive project fosters biodiversity, supports local ecosystems, and provides educational opportunities about the importance of bees in our environment. Our Durham community stands as a shining example of our commitment to sustainable living, being fully powered by solar panels it is nearly carbon neutral. This initiative not only reduces our carbon footprint but also provides residents with clean, renewable energy. The solar-powered system ensures energy efficiency, lowers utility costs, and contributes to a greener environment. Each home at Durham prevents 8,875 kWh of carbon emission annually, equivalent to planting 104 trees and letting them grow for over 10 years. It also translates to an average annual savings of $1,570 on utility bills.

In addition to our solar initiatives, we’ve partnered with Native, a leader in carbon offset solutions, to further reduce our environmental impact. Through this partnership, we invest in high-quality carbon offset projects that not only mitigate the emissions we can’t eliminate but also support the restoration of natural ecosystems and renewable energy initiatives.
